On March 29th I had the incredible opportunity to document a group of POC ultra runners in a relay race from LA to Las Vegas during The Speed Project.
The first goal: finish. Second: capture every trial, fall, pain, success, and the true depths of utter exhaustion.
For 2.5 days across the Mojave desert, on very little sleep, a wildfire, an RV getting a flat, and so many gas stations. I distilled the journey through photography.

Our team banner, Team Oruzu, a run clothing brand owned by Wally Vu. Bought us together and helped gain brand support from Altra and The North Face.

Moments were shared across social media to show progress and goals reached.

I also wanted to create something more permanent. Something that acknowledges the runners achievement while highlighting the brands that helped get us there.
So I made a magazine. Combining my work with the other media team members, I designed and developed a magazine that could serve as reminder of what was achieved and serve as a content piece for the runners to share across social media.
